Redesign Your Kitchen Without Breaking the Bank
By Julie Prince
The kitchen is the heart of the home, so of course you want to keep it up-to-date and functionally beautiful!
Our tips are easy to do and light on the pocket. Follow these guidelines to add fresh new life to your kitchen:
Replacing Cabinet Doors for a Whole New Look
If you are feeling especially ambitious, and have the budget you can replace your cabinet doors to give your kitchen a complete facelift for considerable less than tearing down the whole cabinets.
New Tile Back-Splash and New Hardware! BIG IMPACT!
You can add a tile back-splash in your kitchen, this will help with splatters as well as look great. The great thing about adding in the back-splash is you will not have to pull things out of your cabinets or disrupt your kitchen really at all except for the day of the installation! And while you’re doing that, why don’t you change out the hardware? You could even add in a new faucet and sink to really make the kitchen sparkle. Faucets are often an overlooked style setter for the kitchen.
A Fresh Coat of Paint
The quickest and most cost effective way to rev-up the kitchen or any space (for that matter) is by applying a fresh coat of paint. Painting the kitchen a different color will always brings in new energy into your home! Go through some interior design magazine and see what colors are in style or that you just like and pick one or two to try out. Keep in mind the size of the kitchen and lighting. You can repaint the cabinets too; our professionals can help you out with creative ways to paint your kitchen cabinets in Orlando and Winter Park.
Give Your Appliances a Facelift
Give your appliances a facelift by changing out or flipping the panels. Sometimes appliances come with a panel you can simply flip to change colors. If not you can order new doors or face-panels from the manufacturer.
Replacing Textiles
This is a very cost effective way of revamping your kitchen; you just need to replace your old table covers, cushions and curtains with something new and fresh.
Have Some Fun with Lighting
Add in some new lighting. This is always fun! You can get some really cool lights add then them in at your bar, dining room or kitchen. Some new contemporary lights can really do a lot to add some great feng shui to the space. Pendent Lighting can be a great addition above a kitchen island as featured below. These type of lights start out around $60 and go up from there….$200-$700.00 could do a lot!
Bonus Tip: Add sturdy shelving above any of the windows you may have in your kitchen. This will add great looking functional storage space.
